Nishikan Kamat bets on Irfan Khan for success of Madaari
Madaari is a Hindi social-thriller film and also a political satire on current Indian political scenario. It is the story of a common man taking revenge from the system. Some critics have related the story to the life of Arvind Kejariwal while others have related the movie to the rise of voters against corrupt system.
Nirmal loses his family in an accident for which he blames the system. He couldn’t take the accident as part of life and he decided to take revenge from the system which he considers the real culprit. He decides to kidnap son of Home-Minister and does so. Home-Minister is the second most powerful person in India and kidnapping of his son puts the security of entire country in jeopardy. The situation worsens when even the entire police force isn’t able to trace Nirmal. He ran away with the child and becomes untraceable. The film shows that not even the most powerful people are above the system.
The storyline is simple but powerful. Dialogues have a touch of A Wednesday but Irfan Khan has the capability of delivering dialogues in his own way. The biggest advantage of the story is the connection it has with common man. Irfan Khan shows the pain and suffering of common man and also he shows a way to change the system. He loses his family and suffers extreme mental agony. He decides to share his pain with those responsible for maintaining the system and his way is straightforward. He delivers what he gets.
Madaari is directed by Nishikant Kamat and Irfan Khan has worked with Kamat in Mumbai Meri Jaan. Though Kamat’s last venture Rocky Handsome failed miserably, the Irfan Khan starrer Madaari is expected to do well on box office. Irfan Khan is also curious about the movie as he is taking is an opportunity to prove his skills.
The film will be released on July 22 and all eyes on Irfan Khan as he is known for giving real performance. He is the only actor who is working simultaneously in Bollywood and Hollywood movies. Will he be able to play role of a common man?
