Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life: High school students want to do away with rules
Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life is story of a high school student whose dream of a high life in high-school was shattered by the atrocities inflicted upon by his mentors including the Principal. Tired of following rules even at the compromise of his creativity, he thinks of a plan to teach cruel Principal and his teachers a lesson and executes the plan with his co-students.
The movie is based on a novel of same name. It was authored by James Patterson and Chris Tebbets and was published in 2011. But the film is written by Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer and Kara Holden and directed by Steve Carr. It stars Griffin Gluck as Rafe Khatchadorian, the protagonist of the movie and Andy Daly as Principal Dwight, the strict principal of Hills Village Middle School. Other stars are Lauren Graham, Rob Riggie and Retta.
The movie shows life and incidents of a sixth grade high school student who is brought under tremendous pressure by his teachers. The student is also facing difficulties in family life where he as an annoying sister and Bear, the ex-boyfriend of his mom. Back in school, Rafe is also bullied by aggressive students but he has a reason to smile and it is his first crush Jeanne Galleta. Also there is a helpful teacher in the school. Mrs. Donatello “Dragon Lady is the only teacher who Rafe can turn to help. But earlier, Mrs. Donatello weren’t so kind to Rafe.
Rafe starts a massive insurrection drive against his Principal and teachers and the objective of the drive is to humiliate the cruel Principal and coterie. It is where the film gets speed and becomes more interesting. A sixth grade student humiliating a cruel Principal is really exciting.
Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life first look and poster
The poster shows Rafe flanked by his high school students and teachers. The poster has dreams of Rafe in the form of a small aircraft, a boat and a dog. On the top, name of movie stars are written and on bottom, crux of the movie that is “rules aren’t for everyone” are displayed. The poster has two colors. Upper part is in light blue color and lower part is in red.
Why watch the movie?
The first reason to watch the movie is the story. It is the story of a high school child and it has everything from naughty students to strict teachers. The protagonist is a student and he vows to humiliate his cruel Principal and other teachers that inflict atrocities on him. School and college going students will certainly like the movie especially Rafe the protagonist of the movie.
