Sachin: A Billion Dreams Movie
Sachin: A Billion Dreams is a biographical film on Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar and the master batsman is himself in the lead role. And the opportunity to play young Sachin Tendulkar is provided to Vir Khimji. For direction, the London based eminent sports biopic director James Erskine is invited. Erskin has a number of biopics on sports to his credit.
James Erskine is also a co-writer of the movie with Sivakumar Ananth. Music is given by the family A. R. Rahman. It is also debutant movie of Sachin Tendulkar, who’s turned 43. Producer of the movie is Ravi Bhagchandka. For marketing, leading actors of Bollywood have teamed with the production team.
As soon as the first poster of the movie was released, Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter and tweeted “This one I have to watch. Show me soon my friend.” Virender Sehwag also tweeted in the same tone on release of the poster. On 14th April, the first teaser for the movie was uploaded on YouTube for public viewing. But no data is collected on hits received by the teaser. So far, the production has released four posters of the movie displaying different faces of Sachin Tendulkar.
The movie will bring many of the hidden incidents and anecdotes of personal and professional life of the great cricketer; his highest run score with inputs from Sachin Tendulkar and his phenomenal rise in one-day cricket.
Sachin: A Billion Dreams first look & poster
The first poster has Sachin walking up to the crease wearing pads. It is in golden color and the batsman is showing walking with his helmet on one hand and bat on another. Quote “55 Days of Training One Pair of Trousers The Sachin Story” is written in the middle of the poster.
Second poster has young Sachin batting without formal dress and accessories in a full-stadium. The boy is shown bigger than the stadium to show stature of the batsman and his name is written in bold letters on the bottom.
Third poster has Sachin Tendulkar wearing helmet and also there is young Sachin in the backdrop. This poster shows the phenomenal rise of the batsman in the world of cricket and there is little doubt that it will be more popular than other posters.
Fourth poster has Sachin Tendulkar greeting his fans wearing his 10 number shirt with Tendulkar written on it. The batsman is seen walking towards the crowd and the fans are very excited to see the batsman between them.
Why watch the movie?
The movie has some hidden aspects of the life of the cricketer of the century. Seeing the movie will be like reading a complete autobiography of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. There is little doubt that the movie will be a crowd puller.
