Minions Movie (film) – The Adventure Tale Of Little Loveable Oddballs

This spin-off from to the unabashedly humorous movie Despicable Me, tries to take the plot away from humans and give these google-eyed yellow creatures a centre stage of their own. The film that was released in theatres on 10th Jul 2015, offers an overdose of cuteness to the audiences as they enjoy the charming elements, the adorable gibberish talk and the awesome screen presence of the animated characters.

Plot: The minions having accidentally killed all their bosses, including the Tyrannosaurus and Napoleon, have now moved to Antarctica to live in a desolate colony of their own. But these small yellow creatures soon become aimless and desolate as they find it difficult to live on without having to follow the orders of yet another scoundrel. Then one of the minions, Kevin takes up the responsibility of finding a new boss. He is accompanied on his mission by his two friends Stuart and Bob. Whether the group finds the biggest, baddest villain to master the clan or will they fail in their search, is what forms the rest of the storyline

Critic’s Review: The film did not create much buzz among the critics as it lacks a compelling plot and the warmth of Despicable Me. Nevertheless the slapstick humour is thick and fast which is perhaps why the movie earned an average rating of three stars out of five.

Cast and Direction: Directors Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda have done a commendable job, along with the writers of the flick. The voice over by Pierre Coffin, Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton, Allison Janney, and Steve Coogan is truly flawless.

Why will you watch: The movie is good entertainment especially for the kids, as they will surely enjoy the fact that these adorable sidekicks have finally been given an opportunity to tell their tale.
