Plot: Daniyal Khan (Saif Ali Khan), a court-martialled Army officer living in annonimty is approached by a group of clandestine intelligence offices to avenge the 26/ 11 killings. The group sends him overseas in pursuit of the four main masterminds of the attacks, hinting that he can even kill them accidentally. In this new mission, which can help Daniyal revive his honour, the ex-military man is assisted by Nawaz Mistry (Katrina Kaif) a London based special intelligence officer. The two agents go globetrotting in search of the criminal and bringing them to justice while trying to remain invisible like the Phantom

Critic’s Review: Phantom despite its unique concept and the fact that it reflects the thoughts of countless Indians, who are still suffering from the pain of 26/11 attacks, received mixed reviews from the critics. While it was mostly praised for its patriotic theme, the movie was criticised for overuse of cinematic element and its lazy screenplay. The movie got an average rating of 3.5 stars.

Cast and Direction: Director Kabir Khan handled Phantom quite well, especially in view of the fact that his last movie was based on the idea of mutual friendship between India and Pakistan. Saif Ali Khan and Zeshan Ayub Khan have portrayed their characters with brilliance although Katrina Kaif seemed to be lacking the energy that could do justice to her role.

Why will you watch: If you want to get the feeling of satisfaction from seeing the perpetrators of Mumbai being brought to justice, then you must watch Phantom for sure!
