Vikramjit Singh has already made a wide name in the film world only with his posters
and trailers of his film Roy. With this movie he has brought a very striking story of a thief
and his stakeholders. Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal at the lead, Roy is
promising and stunning. True it is that the slow pace of the movie might seem disturbing
for some, but it is true that Roy shines bright so far acting skills are concerned. There lies
its excellence.

Roy Trailer

The film has a very tight plot centering around a very mysterious thief named
Roy(played by Ranbir Kapoor). Roy makes large robberies and the filmmaker Kabir Geral
makes his film from that robbed money. This system comes to a jerk as Kabir’s new
girlfriend Ayesha(played by Jacqueline Fernandez) also gets involved. This complication
leads the film to another stage.

Critic’s Review:

Roy stands out from the rest of the Bollywood commercial films because of the strong
performances of its protagonists. Besides the film has the proper mix up of suspense
and romance that is sure to make the film close to the viewers.

Acting & Direction:

Definitely the USP of the movie stands on the strong performances by Ranbir and Arjun.
Both the actors have made their appearances very strong and sensitive. Moreover, the
sensuous presence of Jacqueline in double role, one of Ayesha, another of globetrotter
Tia, is sure to catch the attention of the viewers.

Vikramjit Singh has made a very sophisticated approach in making this movie. The film,
also scripted by him, is a bit slow no doubt, that makes the viewers lose some interest in
the first half. But in the second half the film is highly gripping and makes the viewers sit
at the edge of their seats. There lies the success of the director.
