Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows: Could the movie come out of the shadow of its past?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is a sequel to the 2014 movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The story starts with the Turtles entering into a conflict their nemesis Shredder who has now hired a genius scientist for help in the war. The scientist is entrusted with the job of creating more mutants so that an army of mutants is created to fight with the Turtles.

Meanwhile, Shredder also befriends Krang, a dangerous alien with a war machine. The machine is capable of destroying the planet. The Turtles are joined by their Master Splinter and also they have human friends. Together with Master Splinter and April O’Neil, Vern Fenwick and the vigilante Casey Jones, the Turtles gate a brave fight to Shredder and his coterie. But end of the movie isn’t as simple as it looks. It is where the director Dave Green has tried to make the movie different the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is written by Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec. The sequel was announced after the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles exceeded all box office expectations about the movie. The first title put forth for the sequel was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Half Shelf but it was changed to the present title. Also most of the casts of 2014 movie are retained in the 2016 sequel to take advantage of the popularity of the 2014 movie. Filming for the movie started in April and initial spending on the movie was pegged at $70.

The film was released in UK on May 30, 2016 and its box office collection was approximately $30 to 40 million but some experts believe that the figure could be higher as the film was shown in more than 4000 theaters. It is released in US and India on June 3, 2016 and the producers expect similar response on box office.

Why watch the movie?

There are two reasons to watch the movie. First reason is it is an action comedy movie and the second reason is that it is sequel to a hit movie. With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles still fresh in the minds of movie buffs, the 2016 sequel is expected to receive a huge response from the audiences. It is a good movie for children and for entire family.
