Tum Bin 2 Movie Review

Tum Bin 2: Many reasons to watch the movie

Tum bin 2 is a sequel to the 2001 hit movie Tum Bin. It is written and directed by Anubhav Sinha and it stars new faces Neha Sharma, Aditya Seal and Aashim Gulati in lead roles. But supporting casts that include some big names like Meher Vij of Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame, Kanwaljit Singh and television actress Mouni Roy is also an attraction. The sequel is coming after almost one-and-a-half decade later of the first movie. It was officially announced in March 2016 and shot at the beautiful locations of Glasgow and Scotland.

Taran (Neha Sharma) loses her first love Amar in an accident and goes into seclusion and depression. She loses all hopes of coming out of her past and is unable to start a new life that her family and friends want. Shekhar (Aditya) enters into her life. Taran loves Amar who’s no more but she also doesn’t want to come out of her past. Could Aditya bring happiness in her life and make her smile again?

The movie has six tracks hence it seems to be a musical thriller. Soundtrack is composed by Ankit Tiwari and Nikhil-Vinay and lyrics by Manoj Muntashir. The biggest track is Tum Bin sung by Ankit Tiwari. Its duration is approximately seven minutes. Also there is a reused version of Jagjit Singh song “Teri Fariyad”. Also there is a Punjabi folk song “Ki Kariye Nachna Aaonda Nahin’.

The story looks simple and repetitive but direction of Anubhav Sinha and an interesting mix of new faces and seasoned supporting cast and soundtracks that are simple melodious can make a difference to the movie. Together story, cast, location and songs make the sequel Tum Bin 2 a complete family entertainer.

Background color of the poster is light blue and this color matches with the theme, story and location.
